Further information:

(1), In accordance with Safety and Technical Standards for Cosmetics (2015 Edition) of China, be included in the allowable preservatives.

Maximum dosage:

0.4% (as acid) for single ester;

0.8% (as acid) for mixtures of esters; and the sum of the individual concentrations of propylparaben and its salts and butylparaben and its salts does not exceed 0.14% (as acid).

(2), In accordance with EU regulations (EC) No 1004/2014, be included in Annex V/12 bis.

Dosage:

(2a), 0.14% (as acid) for the sum of the individual components;

(2b), When used in conjunction with the substances listed in Annex V/12, the maximum dosage does not exceed 0.8% (as acid); and the sum of the individual concentrations of propylparaben and its salts and butylparaben and its salts does not exceed 0.14% (as acid).

3, Medicine

Pharmaceutic adjuvant, use as bacteriostatic agent. (This section is for reference only, should be implemented according to local Pharmacopoeia.)
