Properties

Appearance    (1), solid.

Solubility    soluble in water.

Stability    stable in weak alkali, weak acid and hard water; unstable in strong acid, strong alkali.

Synthesis

(1), Lauryl hydroxyacetamide is obtained by amidation of glycolic acid and lauryl amine;

(2), Lauryl hydroxyacetamide sulfate is obtained by sulfation of lauryl hydroxyacetamide and sulfur trioxide;

(3), Purify and obtain sodium lauryl hydroxyacetamide sulfate, by neutrallzation of alkaline substances, such as sodium hydroxide.
