Lubricant, antirust agent in lubricants, anti-rust oil. Good anti-rust effect to steel, copper, aluminum; poor anti-rust effect to cast iron.

Wetting agent in pigment.

Waterproofing agent in textile.

Preservative in wood processing.

Auxiliary heat stabilizer, lubricant in plastics industry, for example, PVC.
