Synthesis

1, Adipic acid method

(1), In the presence of barium hydroxide, dry distillation, convert adipic acid into cyclopentanone;

(2), By hydrogenation, obtain cyclopentanol;

(3), Sodium cyclopentyl sulfate is obtained by esterification of cyclopentanol and sulfur trioxide, neutralization with alkali (such as: sodium hydroxide).
