[Terminology] Microemulsion

Microemulsion is a liquid spontaneously formed by oil, water and surfactant. It has a transparent and uniform appearance. Different from emulsion, microemulsion is thermodynamically stable.

The particle size of the microemulsion is below 0.1μm, and the particle size distribution is relatively uniform.

The formation of microemulsion usually requires a large amount of surfactant, but the use of surfactant of structural design can reduce the amount of surfactant.

Microemulsion has a wide range of applications, such as cosmetics, medicine and so on.
